Our initial challenge was to design a concept for an Innovation Lab for SCAD's School of Design in a period of 9 weeks.
Process of four stages (Discover, Define, Develop, and Deliver), characterized by divergent and convergent thinking. We initiate the project with a problem, which will evolved and change as research, findings, and insights, allow us to identify and redefine the actual problem. We are then ready to develop and deliver most appropriate solutions.
Desktop, Observational, Attitudinal, and Generative research.
Role within project: Lead Prototyper, Deliverables Visualizer and Finisher, Graphic Designer.
Clustering and Affinitizing Findings, Developing CSF's from Findings, followed by Fishbone Diagrams to redefine initial problem.
How can we foster an effective and efficient collaborative culture within the school of design?
We identify zones to match the needs of SCAD design students and the required spaces to enhance, foster, and facilitate a collaborative culture within SCAD's school of design.
Two spaces, one based on the optimization of a space at Gulfstream (building for Industrial, Service, Sustainability, Furniture, and Design Management majors), and a secondary transformational space located in Downtown Savannah.
